Husband arrested for torturing wife in Handwara | KNO

Kupwara, May 14 (KNO) : Handwara police on Tuesday late afternoon arrested a man in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district for allegedly throwing hot boiled tea over his wife who suffered injuries and was undergoing treatment at Handwara District Hospital. Reports reaching to KNO said that a woman was hospitalized on Tuesday late afternoon after she sustained burn injuries when her husband threw hot boiled tea over her body. A top police officer in Handwara confirmed the incident to KNO, stating that accused has been arrested while as the victim was undergoing treatment at Handwara hospital. However, he said that the injuries are non fatal and the women is out of danger. Further investigation into the matter is on, he added.(KNO)
